One-On-One Counseling
College preparation and applications can create stress in the household and complicate family relationships.Headed for College provides individual service, with consultants available nights, weekends and during the crucial summer months before senior year. We really get to know your child’s strengths, ambitions, goals and special qualities.
Insights from Day One
In the initial consultation, your Headed for College educational consultant will help you define what’s important to you and your child. You’ll learn about academic planning, the application process, admissions criteria, potential colleges for your student and how Headed for College can help.
Educational Consulting Program
Available for students in eighth grade through the high school years, we can meet with you and your child regularly to determine coursework, summer programs and leadership opportunities to optimize your child’s high school experience. During senior year, we meet with your child extensively to ensure that your child remains focused, calm and engaged during the college application process.
Support for Neurodiversity
Our team brings extensive experience in working with neurodiverse students. We provide families with recommendations for educational and psychological assessments, guidance on how to seek accommodations, and assistance in identifying colleges that offer strong support programs.
Pro-Bono Guidance
Our counselors work with low-income and first-gen students on a volunteer basis throughout the year, from one-on-one educational consulting sessions for students to group presentations for students and their parents.
